Friends of Northwest Heritage Passage
Greetings – if you would like to support the work of the Passage, you’ve come to the right place. The Passage is a non-profit 501c(3) organization. We have no paid staff.
Volunteers serve as officers, board members, and county representatives, contributing hours, materials, suppllies and travel miles in support of Passage activities. In 2009, these volunteers logged 00,000 hours. Daily operations are sustained by yearly dues. However, due to the difficult economic situation, membership is currently down. We receive limited funding from the Wisconsin Arts Board as a result of grant submissions to fund special events and programs.
Board member/treasurer Alene Peterson spent nearly two years assembling input for the Guidebook. Spooner Advocate editor Janet Krokson and Alene have written text and designed graphics without payment. Now, to produce the Guidebook, the Passage needs funds to print, distribute and market it. Proceeds from Guidebook sales will be invested in future editions with expanded listings, descriptions and maps.
Your generous gift helps us continue supporting northwest Wisconsin’s exciting creative economy. We appreciate cash donations and sponsorships in any amount. Donors and sponsors will be listed here and, with a donation of $100 or more, in the Guidebook.
To donate, please fill out the Friends form and submit on this website, or fill out and mail it to WNHP, P. O. Box 454, Spooner, WI 54801. If you have any questions, e-mail winhp@centurytel.net.
